Hard Chrome Plated Bars with grade 20MnV6 are based on a low carbon, microalloyed steel combining high strength with excellent machinability and weld- ability. In comparison with standard products based on grade C45E, the superior properties offers a number of potential advantages in the design and manufacture of hydraulic & pneumatic cylinders, not the least the possibility to downsize piston rods thanks to highest mechanical properties without loss of load-bearing capacity, thereby reducing not only weight but also cost due to its better machinability.

On request we can also produce, for specific applications, Chrome Plated Bars , range from 20,00 mm au to 50,00 mm with the following Very High Corrosion Resistance :
