HARD CROME PLATED BARS GRADE C45E

Hard-chrome plated bars product based on medium-carbon steel like C45E is the most common grade used for producing piston rods for Hydraulic & Pneumatic Cylinders and also Gas Spring, Actuators and Shock Absorbers. However, by means of thermo- mechanical processing, the mechanical properties of the C45E are well known all over the world and easy to machine with a good weldability. The chrome layer hardness is 850 HV0.1 min.

Serie H.P. – Standard
Serie H.T.D. – High Corrosion Resistance
Serie N.D. – Ultra High Corrosion Resistance

On request we can also produce, for specific applications, Chrome Plated Bars , range from 20,00 mm au to 50,00 mm with the following Very High Corrosion Resistance :

HTD – Hard to die Rating 9 after 500 hours
ND – Never die Rating 10 after 500 hours
